1. About BookBula

BookBula is an online accommodation listing and booking platform connecting guests with hosts across Fiji. BookBula is a marketplace only. We are not a party to any booking, rental or payment transaction between guests and hosts.

2. User Accounts

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure.
• You must provide accurate, current information when registering.
• You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their permission.
• BookBula reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Hosts

• You must own or have legal authority to rent the property you list.
• Listing information must be accurate, complete and not misleading.
• You are responsible for complying with Fijian laws relating to accommodation and taxation.
• You set your own prices, house rules and accepted payment methods.
• You must honour confirmed bookings unless there are genuine exceptional circumstances.
• You are responsible for the safety and condition of your property.

4. Guests

• You must use listings only for their stated purpose (accommodation).
• You must respect the host's house rules and property.
• You are responsible for any damage caused during your stay.
• Booking requests are not confirmed until the host explicitly accepts them.
• Payment is made directly to the host. BookBula does not handle payments.

5. Payments and Transactions

All payments are made directly between guests and hosts. BookBula charges no booking fees or commission. We have no responsibility for payment disputes. Hosts list which payment methods they accept and guests agree on payment terms directly with the host before confirming a booking.

6. Cancellations

Cancellation terms are set by each host and displayed on their listing. Guests should review a host's house rules before requesting a booking. BookBula is not responsible for enforcing cancellation policies between guests and hosts.

7. Reviews and Ratings

Reviews must be honest and based on genuine experiences. Fake, defamatory or abusive reviews will be removed. BookBula reserves the right to review all submitted reviews before publication. We do not guarantee that all reviews will be published.

8. Prohibited Conduct

• Posting false or misleading listing information.
• Harassment, abuse or threatening behaviour toward other users.
• Using the platform for unlawful purposes.
• Scraping, copying or reproducing content without permission.
• Attempting to circumvent our platform to avoid agreed terms.

9. Disclaimer of Liability

BookBula provides the platform as a marketplace only. We do not verify all listing information and make no guarantees about the quality, safety or legality of any property listed. You use the platform at your own risk. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by Fijian law.

10. Data Retention After Account Deletion

To protect all parties, booking and transaction records are retained for 7 years after a booking is completed or a listing is removed, even if an account is deleted. This is required for legal and dispute resolution purposes.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
